Analyst - Corporate Finance/Investment Banking Practice
Description

The primary focus of this position is to assist Chartwell with the execution of corporate finance transactions in our Corporate Finance/Investment Banking Practice.  The role is designed to provide the Analyst with a broad based understanding and knowledge of the execution of corporate finance projects, including sell-side and buy-side M&A, various forms of ESOP transactions, debt and equity placements, and other corporate finance assignments.  Specific analytical tasks will include: business valuation in connection with broader assignments; industry research; preparation of marketing materials for both equity and debt investors; presentation preparation; marketing support activities; financial analysis; and other such activities as deemed relevant to the group’s and the firm’s success.

Basic Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of investment banking experience from a nationally recognized financial institution
  • 4 year undergraduate business degree with focus in finance or accounting with a GPA above 3.5
  • Knowledge of corporate finance theories, complex financial/cash flow modeling experience, and proven M&A advisory and/or leveraged finance experience

Senior Executive Compensation Consultant
Description

The primary focus of this position is to assist Chartwell with project execution in our Compensation Consulting Practice.  Chartwell’s Compensation Consulting Practice works exclusively with privately held companies with a special emphasis on companies that sponsor an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP).  The role is designed to allow the successful candidate to gain familiarity with Chartwell’s approach to executive compensation and assist the practice leader in all aspects of practice management.  This role is marked as a leadership position at Chartwell and requires strong client-facing and project management skills. This role may also afford an opportunity to learn business valuation principles and corporate financial theory.
