July 2016 To give back to our community, Chartwell professionals volunteered with Second Stork, a non-profit that works with Minnesota hospitals to help new parents in need by providing them with items critical to the care of their newborn. During our company-wide summer event, Chartwell employees from all of our locations helped create packages containing diapers, wipes, and other items vital to the health, safety, and care of a newborn in the first few weeks. We sorted through 2,400 donated pouches and assembled 24 completed bags of diapers. Founded in 2009, Second Stork is a Minnesota non-profit that works with social workers and nurses in over 60 hospitals to provide thousands of new parents with critical items to care for their newborn, free of charge with no strings attached. The organization is not religious or political in its mission or operations, and works in ways to always respect the dignity of people in need. In 2015, Second Stork provided over 1,200 families with diaper/supply packs and gave away over 200 life-saving portable playard cribs to parents with no other approved safe sleep options for their newborn. As a relationship-based firm focused on the long-term success of our clients, Chartwell recognizes the importance of giving back to our communities and our entire team is dedicated to upholding this value.
