March 2016 Chartwell is pleased to announce the addition of Rachel Flaskey as Vice President in our Minneapolis headquarters, further expanding the firm’s valuation expertise. Rachel has won local, regional, and national industry recognition for her work in forensic accounting and business valuation. She understands the varying needs of clients across a range of sizes and industries and has particular expertise in assisting closely held or family-owned businesses with all aspects of business succession planning. Rachel presents on business valuation topics, authors a bi-monthly column on business valuation for The Business Journals, and contributes to other industry publications. “We are excited to have Rachel join the Chartwell team,” said Wil Becker, Managing Director. “The addition of Rachel’s unique skill set and wealth of experience will contribute to our growth and our ability to provide customized, relationship-based solutions for our clients.” Rachel joins Chartwell after serving as a senior manager in the valuation services practice of Baker Tilly. While there, she provided business valuation and forensic accounting services for mergers and acquisitions, compliance, gift and estate planning, and litigation support, among other purposes. Rachel is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV), and Certified in Financial Forensics. She takes part in several industry organizations, including the American Institute of CPAs, the South Dakota CPA Society, and the Minnesota Society of CPAs, where she serves on the Business Valuation Conference Task Force. Rachel earned an MBA from the University of South Dakota.
