December 2016 MINNEAPOLIS, MN – December 13, 2016 – This November, Chartwell professionals participated in Movember, the annual month-long moustache event put on by the Movember Foundation to raise awareness of some of the most significant health issues faced by men. Together, we raised over $3,000 for the to help men live happier, healthier, longer lives. We also grew some pretty fun facial hair. The Movember Foundation addresses some of the leading health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention. The Foundation aims to increase early cancer detection, diagnose depression before it escalates, and ultimately reduce the number of preventable deaths. Movember inspires participants into 30 days of action to help men live happier, healthier, longer lives. Whether it’s challenging participants to move for men’s health, engage in old-fashioned fundraising, or grow a moustache, everyone can get involved in Movember. Chartwell’s team raised over $3,000 for the Movember Foundation. Part of our fundraising effort included donating to make our moustache and beard participants ultimately shave into selected styles such as the Anchor and the Chin Puff. We voted on our favorite styles at the end of the month and are pleased to announce that our CFO, Ted Hansen (Monkey Tail), and one of our Associates, Collin Mayer (Franz Joseph), tied for the winning look! (Left to right: Mark Gehrig, Logan Borg, Collin Mayer, Ted Hansen, Joe Skorczewski, Ryan Graham) Chartwell’s Charity Committee thanks everyone who donated, fundraised, moved for men’s health, and participated in our moustache and beard contest. Although the votes may be in, it is apparent from the pictures that everyone was a winner for doing their part to raise awareness of men’s health issues.
