Ryan is an investment banker in Chartwell’s Corporate Finance practice.  He focuses on executing sell-side and buy-side M&A processes with strategic and private equity buyers, capital markets transactions, and ESOP-related ownership transitions in the middle-market.  He supports senior members of the firm across all aspects of transaction execution, including day-to-day leadership, financial analyses, creation of marketing materials, and the organization of due diligence information.


Ryan is proficient in the analysis of leveraged buyouts, accretion and dilution, public market guideline companies, merger and acquisition markets, and evaluating the industry and economic conditions.



Ryan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of Minnesota.



Before joining Chartwell, Ryan was Vice President of Finance for Paragon 28 in Denver, Colorado.  His primary responsibilities included planning, implementing, and managing all financial activities including cash flow, forecasting, strategic planning, deal analysis, and financial reporting.  Prior to his time at Paragon 28, Ryan was a member of Ernst & Young’s Transaction Advisory (M&A) Services team, where he provided buy-side and sell-side financial advisory services to corporate and private equity clients.  Ryan also spent six years with 3M Company primarily focused on mergers & acquisitions as well as strategic portfolio review projects.


Ryan holds a Masters of Business Administration degree in strategy and finance from the Curtis L. Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.  He also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Augsburg College.
